Dr. Rousseau has been practicing in Central Michigan area for over 20 years. She moved to Mount Pleasant after graduating from veterinary college in 2002 and has been a member of the community ever since.
She and her husband, Peter are the proud parents of two boys which keep them busy with sports and after school activities. Her family is active in the local 4H community and are avid MSU fans.
Dr. Rousseau’s pets include a German Shorthair Pointer named “Gracie Bird”, a Beagle named “J.B.”, and two cats named “Macho” and “Nacho Cheese”. She also has two Polish rabbits named “George” and “Starlight” and a flock of pet chickens.
Dr. Rousseau became the new owner of Mt. Pleasant Animal Hospital in June of 2022 and is excited to be able to continue to serve her clients and patients in the Central Michigan Area for years to come.
Dr. Tom Finn, an Alma native, obtained his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Following this he returned to central Michigan and worked at a small animal practice for five years. Over this time Dr. Finn had the good fortune of meeting and working with Dr. Rousseau. Dr. Finn values the owner- animal- doctor team, fostered by open and honest communication in the decisions the owner and doctor make together for the pet’s health.
In his spare time Dr. Finn enjoys spending time with his family and friends, biking, following Purdue athletics, and walks with his miniature Dachshund-Beagle mix Cupcake.
Dr. Kathy Gruca, from Alma, obtained her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She has been in mid-Michigan area since that time, working at the animal shelter in Mt. Pleasant and offering relief work for various clinics in the area. Dr. Gruca has known Dr. Rousseau since she started job shadowing in the field over 20 years ago. She values open communication in the approachable environment in order to provide the absolute best care for the clients and their pets.
Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family, friends and her two dogs.
Digit is our office cat. He was found by one of our clients in their chicken coop and was in pretty rough shape. After fixing him up the plan was to adopt him out. However, we fell in love and decided that this was his forever home. You will most commonly find him in his basket up front taking naps or looking for his next snack. We are so happy he is a member of our team, as he brings so much life and love to our clinic.
We have many other helping hands that make our practice run smoothly. Come in to meet the rest of our team!
